Franco Vigna, M.D., M.P.H., FACOS
Book appointment
Doctor Franco E. Vigna is the founder, Chief Executive Officer and primary surgeon at our spine center, and is becoming internationally known for his exceptional skill, his empathetic approach and overall competency at this rapidly expanding practice.
This exceptionally skilled surgeon initially lived on Long Island, NY until the family moved to Connecticut. His upbringing was modest and he excelled in academics and sports. Following his father and mother (an anesthesiologist and OR registered nurse, respectively), Doctor Vigna made the irrevocable decision to devote his life and career to medicine. Well beyond his surgical skill-sets, he has achieved a deep connection with his patients, helping them to experience the true joy of a pain-free life. An authority on spinal surgery, he is the author of articles regarding spine surgery in industry publications and is a renowned presenter, both nationally and internationally. He has years of experience and training, including multiple fellowships. During the time completing his Maryland Spinal Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, Dr. Vigna studied cervical and lumbar disc replacement and minimally invasive spine surgery prior to the procedures' approval in the United States. Dr. Vigna now uses this knowledge to provide exemplary spine care to patients from all areas of our country. Fully committed to his practice and his patients, Doctor Vigna is now a "true Western New Yorker" who loves the region and lives with his wife and three children in Buffalo, New York.
